Most advisors try to solve the problem.

I find the source of it.

MEET CORTNEY THOMSON *

I have spent 23 years inside businesses. As a COO, a founder, a crisis communicator, a strategic consultant and advisor.

I watched a global financial crisis happen from inside the London press office of Lehman Brothers. I built a creator technology app during COVID and watched an entire economy reshape itself in real time. I founded a business, raised millions, and learned what it really costs. I ran a drone manufacturing company and kept a team of engineers and pilots from failing in one of the most highly-regulated industries in the world.

I have sat in the rooms where things fall apart. And I have been in the rooms, and sheds, where things are being built from scratch.

And through all of it, through every crisis, every rebuild, and every impossible situation, I kept seeing the same thing.

The strategy was sound. The talent was there. And the same problems kept coming back.

Not because the solutions were wrong, but because nobody was looking at what was running underneath.

And then I did the deeper work. On myself, for myself.

Two hundred hours of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Hypnosis. The Enneagram. Discovering new systems and patterns to understand what is running underneath. In people. In business. In me.

So that I could do more than “solve an organisational problem”, but to be able to support leaders and decision-makers in ways that allow them to be extraordinary at work, in life and for themselves.

What I found changed how I approach everything.

The patterns that keep people stuck are not strategic problems. They are not operational problems. They are human problems, running beneath the surface of every decision, every relationship, every moment of friction that keeps showing up for each of us no matter what you do about it.

When you find the pattern and change it, everything changes.

That’s what Source Work does.

What I believe.

I work with leaders who are successful by every measure they currently have, and yet they feel there is something just out of their grasp.

They've never had a space to be anything other than the strongest person in the room.

I give them that space, without asking them to drop the things they're responsible for. I deeply understand the responsibilities, accountabilities and identities that follow leaders in their lives.

This is intelligent depth. It's rigorous, it's real, and it goes where most advisors won't.

Who I work with

Leaders and founders

Leaders and founders who are successful by every measure they currently have, and know something is still missing.

Business owners

Business owners who woke up one day running a company they never planned to run, with systems held together by good intentions and no idea how to put any of it down.

Leadership teams and organisations

Leadership teams and organisations where the strategy is sound and the same problems keep coming back, because the pattern running between the people has not changed.

Parents

People who lead in some or all of the rooms of their life, at work, at home, with their team, with their family, with themselves, who are ready to stop performing and start feeling.

Anyone accountable for someone else

Anyone carrying more than they should, who is ready to find out what is actually running underneath it all.
